Not every agent should connect to systems the same way.
A shared CRM that the whole sales team uses is different from a personal inbox that belongs to one person. Treating them identically - either by restricting everything or opening everything - creates problems in either direction.Unframe's two-tier connector model handles both.
Global connectors: one setup, shared across agents
Global connectors are configured once by the administrator and backed by a shared account. Any agent that needs access to a business system - a CRM, a shared database, an internal knowledge base - uses that connection directly. No per-user setup, no credential management for individual users.
Personal connectors: each user's own access, nothing more
When a user adopts an agent that uses a personal connector, they authenticate with their own credentials. The agent then operates within their individual permissions - accessing only what that person can access, and nothing beyond it.
Every connection, visible in Audit
Both connector types surface in the audit log. Administrators can see which agents are connecting to which systems, under whose credentials, and when. The result is a model where flexibility and control aren't in tension. Agents can be built for shared systems and for individual ones - without the governance tradeoff that usually comes with supporting both.
